Paintings that feel like remembering
I paint stories of travel, time, and the way light finds us, wherever we are.
Each piece is a love letter to beauty, curiosity, and what it means to be fully alive.

I’m Dani Abbott, an artist based in Phoenix, Arizona.
I paint stories drawn from places I’ve been, people I’ve met, and the moments that change us in quiet ways.
My work lives somewhere between realism and memory. I call my style Metaphorical Realism. It’s less about recreating what I see and more about capturing how it feels to be there the light, the air, the emotion that lingers.
Every collection is a chapter of that journey. Each one has its own rhythm and meaning, shaped by movement, reflection, and the pursuit of beauty that outlives the moment.
If my work finds you, I hope it gives you a quiet moment to breathe, to feel, and to remember what’s worth holding onto

The Sands of Time
"THE SANDS OF TIME" This is the series I’m creating right now. Ten paintings about memory, time, and the way beauty lingers even as everything changes. Each piece was born from watching the desert shift, noticing how light moves across familiar places, and realizing how much of life we miss when we don’t slow down.
These paintings hold pieces of legacy, loss, and wonder. They came from a season of reflection, when everything felt both fragile and eternal all at once. Every brushstroke became a way to remember, to make meaning out of passing moments.
The Sands of Time is my attempt to hold stillness in motion, to capture what is worth keeping.
And just beyond it, something new is beginning. "BENEATH THE SURFACE", my 2026 collection, will explore renewal, water, and the quiet transformation that unfolds when we learn to move with change instead of against it.
